The final mosaic is upscaled for high-quality printing. On desktop, it is rendered at 8× the working resolution of your source image (up to 6400 × 6400 px). On mobile devices, it is rendered at 5× (up to 4000 × 4000 px) to fit within mobile browser memory limits.

Yes. Images larger than 800 pixels on either side are automatically resized to 800 × 800 px before processing. This results in a final mosaic resolution of up to 6400 × 6400 px on desktop, and 4000 × 4000 px on mobile.
